Ferheng is an independent project for the Kurdish language. It makes the knowledge of Wîkîferheng accessible to everyone who speaks, learns or wants to understand Kurdish, as an app and on the web.

Kurdish is my mother tongue, but like many Kurds I never learned it at school, I only spoke it. I built Ferheng to learn it properly. I hope it will be your companion on your way, too.

Why Ferheng

Many Kurds grow up in countries where Kurdish isn't taught. They understand the language but speak another one more fluently. That's why Ferheng also explains Kurdish in the languages they use every day, and helps learners and native speakers alike improve their Kurdish. So that the language passes from one generation to the next.
